BASIC COURSE DETAILS
This 3-day Basic Alignment course is designed for entry level technicians that are new to vehicle alignment concepts and procedures. The course consists of presentations and demonstrations along with extensive hands-on training. This class normally consists of 40% classroom and 60% shop instruction. Basic testing on alignment principles is included to track progress and to help the student understand the importance of a total wheel alignment.
Class schedule is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The cost for the basic alignment course is $275.00 person. Follow the “Join Class” button to register.
After completion of this course the student should be able to:
- Understand basic suspension and steering component design.
- Describe the inspection and testing procedures for steering and suspension components.
- Understand basic automotive alignment angle concepts.
- Understand the purpose of vehicle alignment specifications.
- Explain why total vehicle alignment is needed.
- Demonstrate the proper procedure for measuring basic alignment angles.
- Describe the procedures needed to complete a basic vehicle alignment.
- Perform proper basic wheel alignment procedures on modern automobiles and light trucks.
- Understand basic procedures for installation of aftermarket alignment aids.
